Tell me about it

Do you need to borrow our bench space and studio for a wee while to get some pieces made? Maybe you’ve taken part in our Core Jewellery or Speciality Skills sessions and are now simply looking to tinker around! We can offer you one of ours for three hours at a time for six weeks… sound good? These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to access the studio and get on with those projects you've been wanting to get into for a while. Design and make with assistance from one of our team, as well as having access to all the machinery and tools. It's perfect for fulfilling any design ideas you may have, but need access to facilities and expert knowledge.

Can I do this class?

This workshop is for those that have jewellery experience and are looking for tools, space and/or expertise to help with their project. Basic jewellery skills are required. We’d prefer if you’ve been through our Introductory Sessions at the very least.

What will I learn?

Nothing! Freestyle Sessions are a non-teaching class where you’ll get your head down and get on with making your own projects. Techniques used must already be known. This session is dedicated to those who need some support, space and/or equipment.

Do I need to bring anything?

All tools and base materials are provided with a limited selection of silver findings and wire at an extra cost. Please be prepared to buy your own precious materials ahead of the class should you choose to work with them.

Remember to bring your own consumables too as Vanilla Ink cannot provide drills, saw blades, burrs, solder etc.

Please wear long hair tied up [or bring something to do so], don’t wear open-toed shoes and keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.
